Working out


Its rainy and storming and its been at it all night..... I love it!! I have all of my blinds open so I can see it. Something about storms- they get me everytime.

On to workouts! I usually start my day with yoga and structural workouts- Structural workouts in general help to remind my body why Im working out in the first place- to tone and sculpt. Also, mood, endorphins, that post workout glow- haha. Okay, so everything. But really, that reconnect with the body is amazing.

For cardio- sprints and plyometrics- Feels so good! I used to focus on running as long as I could while keeping pace- but I wasnt getting the results I wanted. I still love to run- but for sculpting and fat burning theres nothing like plyos.  I also focus more on sculpting and fat burning than calorie burning (word play maybe, but it works for me).

Along with the staple pilates and spin classes- yoga.... A little bit of everything. Varietys always good- But for body shaping the above are amazing.

I just read a study too where 100 subjects were followed using different forms of cardiovascular exersize and those who used high intensity intervals and plymetrics lost AT LEAST five punds in five weeks where those who kept a steady pace actually gained a pound! Crazy right?
